Saturday 11th May - Sunday 2nd June 2019
We are heads down making plans for the 2019 Suffolk Walking Festival with some great new ideas.
We're looking to expand our Fringe Festival with more events that get you close to nature in the very heart of the countryside. We're also looking at some very innovative activities to help you experience the countryside. And, we are already gathering walks for next year as we start putting our programme together.
We are also very excited to link up with 2 organisations in 2019 to further promote walking.
The Orwell Challenge, organised by the Rotary Club East Ipswich, is a marathon long exploration of the River Orwell estuary. Keep an eye on their website for upcoming details of 2019's event.
We are also delighted to team up with Theatre Royal, Bury who are celebrating their 200th anniversary with a 200-mile fundraising walk. The walk retraces the route taken by The Norwich Circuit of Players, who in the 19th century would travel each year between theatres in East Anglia. The 200 For 200 walk follows this historic route with the final day's walk, on Easter Monday 22nd April, open to all and ending at the Theatre Royal. Find out more HERE.
