The Suffolk Walking Festival is a three-week annual event which celebrates walking within the county. Each year there will be a variety of walks from 1 mile to over 20, spread around the county this offers something for everyone including serious walkers and those just starting out.
The festival started in 2007 as a Mid Suffolk and Babergh District Council initiative. Originally called the South & Heart of Suffolk Walking Festival with a programme of approximately 30 walks, it soon expanded to cover the whole county and become the event it is today.
The Discover Suffolk Team at Suffolk County Council manage and coordinate the festival. The walks are led by a wide range of volunteers and partner organisations and the festival could not take place without them.
The festival could not take place without the support of our partners these include: -
